To coordinate such an undertaking, HR Certification Institute works with two vendors, Professional Examination Service (PES) and Thomson Prometric. PES receives and processes applications and assists with development of the exam forms. Thomson Prometric administers the exams in their testing centers throughout the world. These testing centers are built specifically to Thomson Prometric standards in terms of testing atmosphere and test security.

Before taking the exam, all candidates are encouraged to review the test center rules published in the handbook. These rules are standard for all programs using Prometric testing facilities and help ensure a consistent testing atmosphere.
